What is PBIS?

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a behavior support program that recognizes the positive contributions of students.  The main goal is to help each child develop self discipline to make good choices.

The process focuses on the school's ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students.  Common rountines and language will be used by all staff to teach and maintain appropriate school behavior at Arthur.  As a result, instructional time is more effectively used for teaching and the overall school environment is calm, pleasant and a place where everyone loves to spend time.
